How Deployment Works

Signal flow for a typical IPTV headend setup is straightforward: live sources enter the headend, get encoded to H.264/H.265 IP streams, are processed by the IPTV gateway server, and are distributed as multicast to the guest network. Set-top boxes join the multicast groups and render channels. Because everything is IP-based, the same infrastructure can also carry VOD, guest Wi-Fi, and building management traffic — which is why IPTV is increasingly chosen over traditional RF distribution in new builds.
